Concert “I Maestri di Santa Cecilia”: an unmissable musical event in Atina
The 12 April 2025, at 20:30, the evocative Cantelmo Ducal Palace of Atina will be transformed into an exceptional stage for the concert “The Masters of St Cecilia”. This event, part of the 7th Comino Valley Festival, celebrates the classical music and culture of the Latium region. Organised by the’LazioCulturaEventi Association (LCE - APS), the festival is realised with the support of the Lazio Region, of the Municipality of Atina, of the Proloco of Atina and the Banca Popolare del Cassinate, which has always been committed to the promotion of local cultural initiatives.
A unique musical experience with internationally renowned artists
Under the artistic direction of Maestro Michele Santorsola, renowned oboist and conductor appreciated in Italy and abroad, the concert promises an unforgettable sound journey. Protagonists of the evening will be Marco Fiorini, First Violin Soloist of the Chamber Orchestra The Musicians, e Michelangelo Carbonara, internationally renowned pianist. “Their synergy will create an extraordinary performance, a tribute to great classical music that will enchant the audience with virtuosity and emotion,” explains the President of the Association, Prof. Antonella Musilli.
The programme: a virtuoso and engaging repertoire
The concert will offer a rich and varied repertoire, spanning masterpieces of classical music:
- Beethoven's “Spring” Sonata in F majora fresh and joyful opening, perfect for immersing oneself in the beauty of music.
- Brahms Scherzoa piece that combines virtuosity and emotional intensity.
- Sonata No. 4 for solo violin by YsaÿeA work that enhances the technique and expressiveness of the violin.
- Introduction and rondo capriccioso by Saint-Saënsa brilliant and dynamic piece that will captivate any listener.
- Ravel's Tziganean explosive finale combining folklore and virtuosity, leaving the audience breathless.
