Carnival 2026 in Valle di Comino: Complete Guide to Events, Parades and Masquerades
La Comino Valley is preparing to celebrate the Carnival 2026 with an explosion of colours, music and traditions. From 13 to 17 February, the villages in the valley will offer a calendar full of events: from vintage masquerade parties to parades of floats and original events such as the masked singing “festival”.

Friday 13 February: The Opening in Atina
The Carnival weekend begins with a dip into the past. At Atina, the prestigious Ducal Palace will host an exclusive event for dance music lovers.
- Event: Carnival Party Atina 2026 - 80s & 90s Party
- Where: Hall of the Ducal Palace, Atina.
- What to expect: A vintage-themed dance night. Get padded shoulder pads and neon colours out of your wardrobe! At the console will be DJ Paolo Porretta to make you dance to the hits that made history.
Sunday 15 February: The Great Village Festival
Carnival Sunday is the beating heart of the celebrations, with events spread throughout the valley.
1. Vicalvi: Music and Entertainment
Vicalvi brings the atmosphere of the Sanremo Festival to the piazza with a unique event.
- Event: Vicariston - Carnival in Music
- Theme: “Italian Singers & International Guests”.
- Details: A singing competition where participants will transform themselves into their musical idols. In between performances, there will be the traditional chestnuts and wine. In case of rain, the event will move to the Social Centre.
2. Gallinaro: The Contrade Parade
The sense of community takes centre stage in Gallinaro, where different parts of the town take to the streets.

3. San Donato Val di Comino: The Process

- 4 pm: Traditional “Carnival Trial” in Viale Marconi, an unmissable satirical moment followed by music and tastings offered by the Pro Loco.
4. Villa Latina: Chariots and Masks
Villa Latina is also ready to impress with its traditional festival.

The celebrations end on a high note with the last day of Carnival.
San Donato Val di Comino: The Parade
- Details: Meet at 5 p.m. in Piazza IV Novembre for the big fancy dress parade.
- Guests: Live music with the energy of Fratelli Rocca & Tony Cardone.
- Awards: Awards for the “Most Beautiful Mask” and the “Most Beautiful Group”. There will be a food stand organised by the Centro Anziani.
Casalvieri: Feast in the Square
- Event: Carnival in Casalvieri
