The wines of Ciociaria and Valle di Comino at the Mercato Centrale Roma

Ciociaria da Bere, which is the name of the event at the Rome Central Market a few days ago!

At the event held on 31 January, the association was presented Natural Ciociaria with a guided tasting in collaboration with Slow Food Rome.

The association Natural Ciociaria It is made up of a collective of winegrowers from southern Lazio, the Ciociaria region and the Comino Valley; representatives from the Cesanese del Piglio area, the Sora/Isola del Liri area, and the winegrowers from our Comino Valley and those from the Valley of the Saints.

Driven by an unbridled passion and faced with limited yields, these true masters of wine have chosen the path of biodynamic viticulture and production without the use of chemicals, even though this involves hard work and yields only a small number of bottles.

These 10 small-scale producers highlight the unique characteristics of the landscape by cultivating endangered indigenous grape varieties such as Maturano Bianco, Maturano Nero, Pampanaro, Lecinaro, Capolongo, Raspato Nero and Reale Bianca, adopting an ecological and ethical approach to farming and producing wine naturally, with most of their wines fermented in amphorae.
